Our desire is for middle schoolers to feel like they have a place to ask the tough questions. We want to challenge students thinking and guide them as they begin the process of making faith in Jesus their own.
Through out the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years students will learn what being a disciple of Jesus means, and they will be challenged to make a choice to follow Jesus. They will learn the value of vulnerability and honest friendship through their small groups as they are pastored by their small group leader.
Ultimately our goal is that students will be able to honestly say they are fully committed to jesus by the time they graduate into the H.S. ministry!
Sunday Morning 9:00-10:30 AM: During the first worship service we meet in the Mezz to hang out for a bit, eat some good food, and play a group game to wake us up before we get into a lesson that covers the same part of the Bible that is being talked about during the sermon for the morning. During the second service we take over the front left section of the worship center and keep each other focused during the sermon!
Wednesday Night 6:30-8:30 PM: We take over the 2nd floor of High Point for a mid-week meeting that we call, wait for it… “Wednesday Night!”. Wednesday Nights are packed with some time to hang out with friends, worship lead by our student worship team, a message relevant to your life as a student, and time to talk about life in a small group.
THE TEAM MUST GROW! Derick is praying for 6-10 additional leaders for next year. If you or someone you know would be a good fit for the team have them contact Derick today!
During the year we host a number of different special events designed to help us CONNECT with God & each other, to GROW in our faith, and to SERVE our city and world in a Christ like way.
