Spiritual Formation Seminar w/ Daniel Hummel

In this half-day seminar we will read selections on and discuss some of the prevalent ways evangelical Christians have thought about spiritual formation in last couple generations. We will encounter some key writers over the past 50 years (e.g. John Piper, Dallas Willard, John Mark Comer) and examine how their theological and other commitments inform how they call Christians to become more Christlike and show evidence of fruit of the Spirit. Attendees will leave with some basic skills to critically and constructively read devotional and spiritual formation literature from a faithful Christian perspective.
