Jill Reasa
Oaks Ministry Director
I have been attending High Point Church since 2009 when I was a college sophomore at UW Madison and rode the city bus with my boyfriend to get to church. I have been serving as a part of the staff team since 2015 in a variety of roles.
I came to Christ alone in my bedroom at the age of 15 when I cried out to God to save me from the aching emptiness of deeply inhibiting fear, depression, and an eating disorder. I experienced the Spirit breathe the fullness of life into my inner being in that moment and knew then I was never alone. A significant passage for me trusting Jesus was John 16:33, in which Jesus says, "in the world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world."
I love studying theology and how God created human beings to connect with him with our whole selves - bodies, minds, souls, and relationships. My favorite way to collaborate with Jesus in his kingdom to build the church is through coaching, leading, teaching, praying, and cheering people on in their healing process with God and others. My education includes Psychology, Religious Studies, and a Masters of Social Work from UW-Madison. I am the founder and director of Oaks Ministry Collaborative, which exists to equip the local church to be a rehabilitative and resilient community for people in the healing process. I have been married to my husband, Tim, for 13 years and we have 4 young children.
