HIGH POINT CHURCH HAS PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU TO GET INVOLVED. WHETHER YOU CAN COMMIT LONG-TERM OR FOR ONE EVENT, WE'D LOVE TO HAVE YOU.

WHY WE SERVE.

We want to make an impact in within our church and the world in the name of Jesus. Below are examples of volunteering opportunities with High Point Church, and just a few of the organizations we partner with the goal of seeking the peace and prosperity of our city. No matter how long you've been coming to High Point Church, we want to help you find ways to serve the people of the church and in the city with your unique gifts and interests. You can serve on your own or join a small group to build relationships and serve with others. Check out the links below to get involved.

SUNDAY MORNING.

NURSERY + KIDS MINISTRIES

Good with people? Help parents navigate check-in by serving at our KidsMin kiosks. You can also volunteer in the nursery on Sundays (contact Bethany Domoto), or serve as a teacher, small group leader, or helper with early childhood and grade school kids (contact Gwen Schrader).

HOSTING BEFORE + AFTER SERVICES

Hospitality is a crucial quality of a church community in order for authentic relationships to develop. Be a part of welcoming people into the High Point family as a part of the host team before and after the service. Contact Nellie Cejpek for more info!

COFFEE TEAM

Be a part of making a warm welcoming space for people to gather for fellowship and coffee or tea! There is a need for people to set up, maintain between services, and clean the space. Contact Nellie Cejpek for more info.

RECEPTION DESK

Sunday morning receptionists are key to helping people get the info they need about High Point Church. Help answer questions about where to go in the building or what's going on at High Point Church! Contact Nellie Cejpek for more info.

TECH + WORSHIP TEAMS

Our musicians and technicians serve cohesively on the worship arts team to help run our worship settings throughout the week—from our Sunday services to our Kids Celebration to our youth band to Saturday Worship nights. With the addition of live streaming and a second service, we're especially in need of more tech and livestreaming volunteers! PRAYER TEAM

Come alongside people that need prayer for what's going on in their lives. Currently, our prayer team serves both in-person and online on Sunday mornings. Contact Jean Collins for more info.

LEAD OR HOST A SMALL GROUP

Help others grow in their relationship with Jesus and with other people by leading or hosting a small group. If you're interested in learning more, contact Erin Hesse.

CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS

Are you tech- or media-savvy? Use your graphic design, videography, photography, or writing skills as a volunteer at High Point. We also have smaller tasks, like taking photos or videos at events, as well as a great need for podcast editing (if you like the Engage and Equip podcast and would like more consistent content, join the team and help get episodes out!). GRAPHICS/PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEO WRITING/Editing

STUDENT MINISTRIES

Want to help out with the Middle or High School student groups? We meet on Wednesday nights. Volunteer as a small group leader, mentor, or prayer team member. Contact Jenna Buboltz for more info.

RECEPTION DESK

Receptionists are an incredibly significant part of keeping the office running smoothly. Answer phone calls and help out with other small tasks. This opportunity is available throughout the week during our open office hours, Monday through Thursday 9am–4pm. Contact Katrina Boyd for more information.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Help care for people at High Point Church. Prepare a meal, provide transportation to doctor appointments, pray with someone on Sunday, and much more. Contact Jeff King for more info.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRAYER

Pray for things going on in our church, our city, and our lives. This is a simple and effective way to connect with God. We meet over Zoom on Wednesdays at 6:45pm. Sign up here to join or contact Lynn Rawhouser if you have questions.

REACH THE WORLD.

Join the Global Missions Team (GMT) to serve our HPC missionaries, lead the congregation in awareness of what God is doing in the world, and help set up short-term mission trips.

SAFE FAMILIES.

Safe Families for Children seeks to keep children safe and families together. Safe Families for Children is rooted in faith, fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion, to build a network of caring and compassionate volunteers to support families facing social isolation. Our goals are to prevent child abuse and neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support and stabilize families.
