CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND UPCOMING WEDDING!

We believe a wedding ceremony should be a Christ-centered celebration of a man and a woman being united by God. We also believe a God-honoring marriage goes well beyond the wedding day. We want to help you begin your life together on a strong spiritual foundation.

If you are considering having your wedding at High Point Church or desiring a HPC pastor to marry you, then we look forward to talking with you. HPC desires to build a loving community that follows Christ. We trust that our marriage process encourages all couples to follow Christ and consider High Point Church their home.

Please complete the Marriage Application to get things started. Our wedding coordinator will contact you and follow up with the next steps in the process.

You can find High Point Church guidelines and policies for weddings here.

Couples getting married off-site but desiring a HPC pastor for their ceremony are welcome to apply as well.

WEDDING FEES.

PDF BREAKDOWN OF FEES

WEDDING CEREMONY

  • Rehearsal Friday evening with Ceremony on Saturday: $800 (+ $200 Security Deposit - refundable)
  • This fee covers a HPC Wedding Coordinator/Host, sound technician, and facility use.

PASTOR HONORARIUM

  • Suggested: $150 – $250
  • It is customary for the bride and groom to give the officiating pastor a honorarium. It is not meant to be a financial hardship to the couple. We recommend a range from $150 – $250 as a guideline for a gift, which should be given directly to the pastor. This recognizes that rehearsals and weddings are performed on days “off” for pastors and involve a significant amount of their time.
  • Any travel expenses (mileage/hotel/etc.) incurred by the pastor. Travel to an off-site location should be paid for as well.

WEDDING WITH RECEPTION*

  • Wedding ceremony with reception in the Micah Center: $1375  (+ $500 Security Deposit - refundable)
  • This fee covers a HPC Wedding Coordinator/Host, sound technician (for ceremony only), and facility use.
  • *This option is only available for High Point Church members.
    • Though we permit receptions for members, we strongly encourage the couple to choose a different venue for the reception. High Point Church does not employ the weekend staff that a hotel or other facility would, that caters to wedding receptions and gatherings of this kind.

The security deposit will be refunded within 30 days of ceremony, less any cleaning and/or damages sustained.

You must use the HPC Coordinator/Host, who will provide access to the building as well as help with HPC wedding resources, rehearsal staging and your ceremony. Your coordinator will work closely with the pastoral staff involved in your wedding, who will meet with you a couple of times to discuss the details of your ceremony.

FAQ.

Q: Do I have to be a member of High Point Church to have my wedding there?
A: You do not have to be a member of High Point Church, however, we would hope that you would at least be a regular attender.

Q: Can we have our own officiant do the wedding ceremony, rather than an HPC pastor?
A: Yes, with the approval of the pastoral staff.

Q: How far in advance should I start my inquiry about a wedding ceremony at High Point Church?
A: You can start your inquiry 6 – 8 months in advance. That is the soonest we can confirm the date of your wedding ceremony on our church calendars.

Q: When booking HPC for my wedding ceremony, what kind of time frame does that give me in the building for the actual ceremony and rehearsal?
A: The rental fee covers up to 8 hours of time allotted for building usage, which is sufficient time for the rehearsal the evening before (approx. 2 hrs) as well as up to 6 hours the day of the wedding—for pre-ceremony preparations, photography, ceremony, receiving line, and any post-ceremony clean up.

Q: How many guests can High Point Church comfortably seat?
A: Due to COVID-19, we can fit 60 family units with proper social distancing, which is roughly 160 people.

Q: What role does the HPC Host play on the day of the ceremony?
A: The Host knows her way around the building and is equipped with all the keys. She is on-site during the rehearsal as well as the day of the ceremony. She answers questions, provide support to the wedding party and guests, troubleshoot any issues that might arise, and make sure the ceremony runs as smoothly as possible.

Q: What role does the HPC A/V Tech play on the day of the ceremony?
A: The A/V Tech performs, lighting, sound, mics, music, and media projections.

Q: Can we livestream our wedding at HPC?
A: You are welcome to bring in someone that will livestream using their own equipment. HPC is in the process of allowing weddings to livestream using HPC equipment, and we will provide an update when ready.
